The Property

Chalet Norel is a delightful summer chalet in Chamonix, a beautifully restored farmhouse dating back to 1833 that now operates as a luxurious alpine chalet. Located on an elevated mountainside location in the Les Houches area of the valley, Chalet Norel offers guests spectacular views of Mont Blanc and along the valley, as well as some great spa facilities to enjoy. There are five generous bedrooms sleeping up to 12 guests in total.

The chalet's two floors cover a spacious 350m², with the first floor housing an expansive open-plan living area with high wooden ceilings that exhibit the original farmhouse structure of the building. The lounge sits on a sunken level to the rest of the living space, featuring a 360° fireplace, plush modern sofas, cosy beanbags and soft throws that offer a stylish balance between high-end luxury and traditional alpine comfort. Towering glass windows that lead out onto a balcony expertly captures the natural light, providing stellar views of the verdant valley and majestic snow-capped peaks of the Mont Blanc Massif. Up from the sunken lounge, there is a large dining table with seating for all 12 guests, in addition to an extensive, fully-equipped, contemporary kitchen.

Further to the chalet's wide balconies, a terrace off the ground floor provides additional space to enjoy the weather on your Chamonix summer holiday, including a 7-seater outdoor hot tub to soak your troubles away. There may not be many hot tubs in the Alps with a more breathtaking view than Chalet Norel's. More spa facilities can be found inside the chalet, with a sauna and steam room available for your relaxation needs.

Above the main living area, Chalet Norel features a vibrant and snug mezzanine TV lounge, with comfortable cushion seats and patterned pillows that exhibit a style more synonymous with an Arabian bazaar than that of an alpine summer chalet.

There are five bedrooms to Chalet Norel, sleeping up to 12 guests. The bedrooms feature refined wooden interiors and sumptuous beds that exemplify the modern alpine luxury style of the chalet. There are four double/twin rooms, and one quad bunk bedroom with adult-sized bunk beds, giving the chalet fantastic flexibility in sleeping arrangements for mixed groups of friends and families. The bunk bedroom and one double/twin share an en-suite bathroom, while the other three rooms all benefit from private en-suite facilities.

A room on the ground floor, use for ski equipment in the winter months, can be utilised for storage for other types of equipment for summer activities in Chamonix.

For two groups wishing to be close by on their luxury summer holiday to Chamonix, Chalet Norel can be found next door to Chalet Kuma, also sleeping 8-12.

The prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 12 guests and is offered on a self-catered basis with housekeeping service every other day.

On the fully catered package, prices include full gourmet catering, open bar and daily housekeeping service.
