Kandahar 1 is a 4-bedroom luxury apartment, located in a central Chamonix location, perfect for a luxury self-catered getaway to the French Alps in summer. Up to 8 guests will be able to take advantage of sensational Mont Blanc views, an infrared sauna and large terrace area, as well as being in direct access to the hustle and buzz of Chamonix’s town centre.
A cosy, chic open plan living and dining room offers plenty of room for the whole group to relax inside. Excellently finished with luxury furnishings, there is plenty of seating space for conversations about the day’s activities. Lounge on the comfortable sofas or enjoy a drink on one of the barstools – after all you are on holiday! For evenings in, Kandahar 1’s fully equipped open kitchen provides a social space for the group’s nominated cook to prepare your evening meals. A dining table, seating the whole group, offers an ideal spot to host your meals at night. Alternatively, sample a taste of the best bars and restaurants in Chamonix, just a short walk from the apartment, for nights out on your luxury self-catered chalet holiday.
The real wow factor is the large terrace area outside, that can be accessed from the living room. Perfect for sunny afternoons and evenings, relax on the loungers or dine alfresco whilst surrounded by magnificent mountain scenery, including the monumental Mont Blanc Massif. Perfect for relaxing after a long hike in the Alps, soothe any tired legs in Kandahar 1’s infrared sauna. Gym facilities (cross trainer) are ideal for working out further, should your day’s hike prove too easy.
In total, Kandahar 1 sleeps 6-8 guests across its 4 bedrooms. A master bedroom suite, complete with an open en-suite bathroom, offers the group leaders a night’s rest in luxury. Two double/twin bedrooms are suitable for mixed groups of friends and family staying together, one benefitting from an en-suite bathroom and the other sharing a shower room with the bunk bedroom. Lastly, the bunk bedroom, featuring full-sized beds, proves a suitable to the little ones on a luxury family summer holiday in Chamonix or young adults.
On the ground floor, guests will have access to a boot locker, perfect for storing any hiking equipment. A private parking space is also available to guests who decide to enjoy a luxury self-drive holiday to the French Alps.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 8 guests and is offered on a self catered basis with end of stay clean.

Kandahar 1 lies in the centre of Chamonix, ideally located next to some of Chamonix’s best summer attractions. The closest lift, Planards, is 450 metres away with access to the the Domaine des Planards amusement park and alpine coaster luge. The apartment is right next to the Montenvers Train Station, home to the famous red, cogwheeled train which travels to the Mer de Glace ice caves. The Aiguille du Midi cable car is also near Kandahar 1, an approximate 8-minute drive or 14-minute walk, a must-do activity for your summer holiday in Chamonix.
The centre of Chamonix is just a short walk away, with access to the resort’s best bars and restaurants, and numerous Chamonix summer events on throughout the season.

When taken fully catered, a quality chef and host will be provided, so your group can enjoy a luxurious catered break to include daily breakfasts and afternoon tea, followed by canapés and a 4-course dinner, on 6 evenings.
If you don't wish to utilise the fully catered package, several additional services are available, alongside the self-catered stay, for your enhanced comfort. The following list highlights the additional services available. Please note, all prices are approximate and are subject to change.
Breakfast service: from €35/person per day. (Minimum 6 guests)
​Evening meal with Private chef : From €390 for up to 12 guests. Food and drink charged at cost in addition. Chalet hosts are available to help with setting up/ clearing the table, and serving food and drinks. Chalet hosts are required for groups of more than 6 guests at €35/h.
Informal Catering Package: If you are looking for a more laid back approach to a catered chalet holiday in the Alps, then this heartfelt package could be more suited to your needs. Daily continental buffet laid out, 3-course meals served on 4 evenings (buffet style or on family sharing serving platters), wine with dinner and daily housekeeping will be included. €595 per person per week.
Additional Housekeeping: €35/h. Min 3h for 3-4 bedroom chalets, min 4h for 5-6 bedroom chalets.
​Bedlinen changes: €40/person. Ironing services: €35/h.
Driver Service: To maximise your stay, why not add on a driver service to help you get about during your trip. There are various options available, whether you are looking for a private driver on stand-by or one or two drop-offs per day at set times.
