Chalet Iona is a beautiful property just outside Méribel. Rustic stone exteriors and breathtaking forest and mountain views, create the perfect summer escape for your next family holiday in the French Alps, with a selection of modern amenities also on offer. In a quaint and peaceful setting, Chalet Iona allows for up to 15 guests to truly experience an alpine retreat this year.
As you walk through the entrance hall, the open-plan living area continues the rustic feel with wooden interiors and beamed ceilings. Comfy armchairs partner the fireplace, with a lovely additional seating arrangement that encourages conversation. An impressive dining table brings enough seating for the entire group to get together in the evening. The dining table conveniently mirrors the large floor to ceiling windows, allowing you to gaze over the mountains whilst tucking into each meal. The fully equipped kitchen completes the living areas and includes a roomy breakfast bar.
Chalet Iona features an abundance of outdoor space for guests to cherish their surroundings this summer. Idyllic gardens, three barbecue areas and terraces are sure to please. Whilst balconies, leading from the main living area, grant an elevated position to soak up far-stretching views out towards the Vanoise National Park and magnificent Grand Bec mountain in the distance. For children, a swing and treehouse will be amongst the favourites for playing, amongst nature and old carts.
On the chalet's lower floor, guests will find an expansive terrace that holds a luxurious hot tub. Combined with an indoor sauna, that also features at this property, Chalet Iona has everything needed for a peaceful, post-hike recovery session.
If, at any point, guests want to escape, then the upper floor hosts a peaceful TV lounge - perfect for resting up on the cosy sofas with your favourite film. Reading corners and board games are also on hand for entertainment.
In total, Chalet Iona has 7 bedrooms to accommodate 12-15 guests. Elegant and homely in design, each bedroom presents a welcoming private space to rest. Not one, but two, master bedrooms feature; one of which has the additional luxury of access to the terrace's outdoor hot tub. Four further double rooms, on the lower ground floor, conclude the main chalet building's sleeping arrangements. A separate smaller chalet, Chalet India, is also included, that sleeps an additional 3 guests - an ideal private space for extended family.
Parking is provided for guests driving to Chalet Iona. A boot room and laundry facilities are also available for guest's use.
Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 12 adults on a half board basis, to include daily continental breakfasts, private chef for lunch or dinner (6 days), unlimited champagne, complimentary bar and daily housekeeping. Children discounts apply, please enquire.
The chalet can also be taken on a Bed and Breakfast basis, to include daily continental breakfasts and daily housekeeping.
Chalet Iona is tucked away in the peaceful hamlet of Le Villard, on the outskirts of Méribel. The chalet sits in a great location for those looking for an alpine retreat in the French Alps. However, a selection of hiking and mountain biking trails, begin or pass by the chalet, letting you further explore Méribel and its surroundings in summer.
The centre of Méribel is an approximate 15-minute drive from Chalet Iona, featuring a range of bars, restaurants and shops for the entire group to enjoy. Closer amenities, including supermarkets and a handful of restaurants, can be found in the nearby village of Les Allues; this can be accessed via a 5-minute drive or 25-minute walk.
For those without access to a car, Méribel's free bus shuttle service in summer links Les Allues with the resort's other villages and centre. The bus stop is located roughly 28 minutes on foot from the property.

Guests can opt for a catered half board option, for a more enhanced experience. Here, you can benefit from a pre-arrival concierge service and a dedicated service in resort, if you require any further assistance, to ensure your holiday is as planned and stress-free as possible. In addition to the delicious daily continental breakfasts served each morning, guests will also receive the services of a private chef for an extra meal. To ensure well-earned mountain appetites are catered to, a private chef is on hand for 6 days of your stay, to prepare and serve either lunch or dinner as chosen during your pre-arrival menu consultation. When dinner is selected, pre-dinner canapés and an early children's supper is also provided on 6 evenings, ideal for family holidays in the Alps. To perfectly accompany mealtimes, a carefully selected wine list and unlimited Veuve Clicquot or Tattinger champagne can be enjoyed, for that extra hint of luxury. A complimentary bar of beers, wines, prosecco, spirits, soft drinks and bottled water is also provided. Daily housekeeping and a mid-week towel change will occur throughout your stay. As standard, bed linens, towels, toiletries and fresh fruit and flowers are also supplied.
When taken on a Bed and Breakfast basis, guests will wake up to appetising continental breakfasts each morning, fuelling long days in the mountains. Daily housekeeping is also provided to ensure your chalet remains at a high standard on return from a day exploring the mountains. As standard, bed linens, towels, toiletries and flowers are also supplied.
