The Property

The Manoir is an enchanting traditional French cottage in Morzine, a truly unique offering in terms of Alpine luxury chalets. Accommodating between 10 and 15 guests in its 5 bedrooms, this charming home comes with a fabulous patio and garden area, and a great central location that lets you maximise enjoyment and activities on your Morzine summer holiday.

Originally built in 1790, and unlike many of the typical wooden chalets you'd expect to find in Morzine, the Manoir looks like it belongs as much on the river banks in the Dordogne as it does in the mountains of the French Alps. Old stonework, vintage wooden shutters and flowering creepers ooze Gallic charm, while the interiors are characterised by stately decor, distinguished furnishings and ornate intricacies that befit the "manor" translation of the chalet's name. The ground floor contains the primary socialising spaces, with two separate lounges and a formal dining room of venerable style. There is also an enormous kitchen on this level, with an abundance of space for preparing meals and snacks, with seating for a more relaxed dining experience.

The outdoor living space is one of the main draws of this iconic building. The garden and patio areas offer the perfect places for relaxing during the warm summer months, where you can take your breakfast in the mornings and marvel at the amazing views on offer; gorgeous verdant Alpine pastures and rolling mountain hills. This is also where you will find the outdoor cedar wood hot tub, a delightful spot to unwind at the end of the day.

Entertainment facilities can be found on The Manoir's basement level. In a room resembling an underground grotto, sink into the comfortable sofas and enjoy the home cinema system of the TV lounge area. Alternatively, you can also partake in a friendly game of pool at the pool table on this floor.

The five bedrooms of The Manoir are all found on the chalet's first floor, with a capacity of sleeping between 10 and 15 guests. All the rooms are double/twin bedrooms, with three bedrooms having extra beds (either bunk beds or a single bed), which are hidden away in a quiet recess of the room for privacy, and make for excellent family suites. Walk-in showers or roll top baths make up the lavish en-suite facilities of each bedroom, a selection of suites that have a vibrant summery quality to them.

The basement level of The Manoir is also home to a secure bike storage area.

Prices are per person and are based on 2 adults sharing a room and is offered with daily breakfast service and housekeeping. A half board upgrade is available for a supplement.

Two of the bedrooms have additional bunk beds which, if occupied, are charged at half the adult price.
