Location

San Lorenzo Mountain Lodge is located in the Italian region of South Tyrol in the Dolomites.
The lodge is tucked away in the small village of Elle, near San Lorenzo di Sebato in the Alta Badie valley. The local lift system for the huge Dolomiti Superski area can be accessed in just a 15 minutes drive. Brunico town is 12km from the lodge and there are some fantastic Michelin starred restaurants within 20-30 minutes drive.

The Property

The rustic 16th-century San Lorenzo Mountain Lodge will enchant even the most discriminating guests with its elegance and sophistication. Formally, an old hunting lodge the property comes with many of the original features and character. The tall vaulted ceiling of the entrance area sets the tone for the entire lodge, a pleasant contrast to the snug and homely atmosphere of the luxurious interior. The ambience of the ground floor breathes the natural warmth and soft elegance of a lived-in home. You will immediately feel welcome and relaxed.

The living rooms of the lodge are located on the left, the sunny side of the building. A stately stube welcomes its guests with traditional warm friendliness. There is a second smaller stube, converted into an attractive reading room equipped with luxurious lounge suites and chairs. It draws its charm from the contrast between the ancient rustic structure and the modern luxury of its furnishings.

The opposite side of the entrance hall gives access to the kitchen and pantry. The original structure of the old kitchen has been preserved and accommodates state-of-the-art kitchen equipment catering to the wishes of the most astute chef.

The ground floor also contains a small room that used to be a pantry. Now equipped with modern communication technology, it has been converted into a study cum home-entertainment room.

The first floor sleeping area of San Lorenzo Mountain Lodge is reached via a narrow flight of stone stairs. The hall that gives access to the four bedrooms is also a cosy lounge area complete with an open masonry fireplace. This sensuous lounge area leads onto four bedrooms of entirely different design, each of them distinct from the others.

The bathrooms are all equipped with modern conveniences. The double room Il Nido shares the bath with Il Rifugio, which features two bunk beds.

Adjacent to the bedrooms on the first floor there is a small relaxation area. At its centre there is a four person spa bath. Half hidden behind a wooden partition there is the centre-piece of the relax area, a Finnish sauna.

For nature-lovers the owners have devised something special on the sheltered lawn behind the house: a heated stainless-steel panorama whirlpool, installed just a few steps from the outdoor lounge area. Only the enchanting view of the valley below and the perfect tranquility around you keep you company.

Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 6 people. Please enquire for additional guests. Price includes full gourmet catering service. No travel included and driver services can be arranged at an additional supplement.

Room Layout

Each of the four bedrooms of the Mountain Lodge is uniquely designed, each with a character of its own. The rooms look out onto different views and scenery, with some facing the woods, others towards the meadows and Dolomites mountain range. The furnishings, in bright colours, are discreetly romantic, chosen with a love for detail, simply beautiful.

Il Sogno
Facing southeast with view of meadows and woods. Double bed, en-suite bathroom.

L'Aurora
Facing north with view of the Dolomites. Double bed, en-suite bathroom.

Il Nido
Facing east with view of Plan de Corones mountain. Double room. Bathroom shared with "Il Rifugio".

Il Rifiugio
Corner room with view of the Plan de Corones mountain and Alta Badia Dolomites. Two bunk beds for four persons. Bathroom shared with "Il Nido".
