Today Chalet 1788 still has the original stone and wooden beams from 1788, giving you an insight into Morzine back when it wasn't much more than a mining town. It is a rare 18th century build, and has the perfect balance between modern luxuries and original features. The wellness area includes both an outdoor hot tub and a sauna for you to relax in as and when you please. There are also numerous balconies and outdoor seating areas to enjoy the mountain views. The traditional living area is complete with a beautiful feature fireplace. A separate TV and games area is upstairs, complete with Nintendo Wii and a DVD library, offering both space and variety for your luxury holiday. On the first floor you will find five bedrooms, all named after the original founding families of Morzine. Every room is complete with en suite bathroom. Two of the bedrooms are doubles, and the rest can be configured as either a double or twin beds. There is also a mezzanine attached to one of the double bedrooms. Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for 10 people. No travel included.
Chalet 1788 is just a 5 minute drive or free resort bus into central Morzine. From there, you can get on the Pleney gondola for the Morzine/Les Gets hiking and biking area. Alternatively, a further 2 minutes drive is the Super Morzine gondola up to the Avoriaz area.
