The Property

Chalet La Bergerie is located on the site of an old "Bergerie" or Shepherd's shelter dating back to the 17th century. This unique chalet has been renovated with many of the original features blending traditional wood and stone with modern facilities and with 7 bedrooms, this chalet is perfect for larger groups.

Decorated with care, there is a prevailing sense of calm and tranquillity, helped by its location in a private enclave above Val d'Isere. This chalet is spread across three levels with the main lounge located exclusively on the top floor of the property.

Upon entering the property, make your way along the winding hallway to the large dining space. This is a fantastic room with a lavish dining set up with fur throws and crystal ware. To the top of the table you'll find a fireplace set in to the original stone wall. This room also has a picture backdrop of the Manchet valley through the large French doors which lead out onto the terrace. A separate kitchen ensures privacy while dining.

From the dining room, a staircase leads up to the lounge area on the top floor. This is a really cosy and light space which has been cleverly split over two levels. The first is set up as an intimate reading area which leads onto the balcony. The second is a large lounge space with ample seating and feature fireplace. Sitting under the eaves with exposed beams, this space offers a wonderful cottage feel and is a great space to relax in.

Back on the entrance and dining level, you will find a second large TV lounge where people can escape to, so to catch the latest sports match or blockbuster film. This level also provides you the main access onto the generous terrace space where you will find the outdoor Jacuzzi and barrel sauna - an ideal way to relax after a long day of activities in the village.

Chalet La Bergerie offers seven bedrooms for up to 13 guests in total. On the dining level of the property, you will find the first of the double bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom. There is also a second double bedroom and single bedroom which share a 'Jack and Jill' bathroom. These rooms, together, work well for a child and nanny. If the two bedrooms don't want to share the adjoining bathroom, there is also a second shower room off from TV Lounge which the single bedroom could make use of.

On the lower floor of the chalet, you will find the remaining four bedrooms. The first is master bedroom which offers an en-suite bathroom with shower, large private balcony and a lounge space. There are then two further double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms and lastly a double bedroom which offers a private shower room across the landing. Every room has an individual sense of style and character which makes them all an equally attractive retreat after an active day.

There are four chalets in this exclusive enclave and combined they offer corporate clients and large groups 29 en suite bedrooms sleeping up to 61 guests. Three of the chalets are set alongside each other (Chalet Le Chardon, Mistral and Lafitenia) with the other a mere stone's throw away (Bergerie).

Prices are based on exclusive use of the chalet for up to 13 guests and is offered on a self-catered basis with daily cleaning.
