Golf Holidays in the Alps
Golfing in the Alps is an unforgettable experience! Courses traverse the valley floor, ringed by rugged cliffs, or snake up the mountain side, so that your ball appears to fly beyond the peaks themselves. Discover the best golf courses in the Alps on your next summer mountain holiday.
Golf has always been a popular past-time in the Alps, and the region is increasingly being recognised as a top golfing destination thanks to well-designed courses, gorgeous landscapes, and of course, fantastic cuisine for a well-earned, post-round lunch.
Luxury golfing holidays can be enjoyed throughout the Alps. Special mention must go to the famous Mont d’Arbois golf course in the resort of Megeve; the oldest and perhaps the best golf course in the Alps. For a luxury golfing holiday in Switzerland, Crans Montana is a must-visit destination. Four courses, each with their own unique challenges and style, are located here. These include the internationally renowned Crans-sur-Sierre golf course, which hosts the European Masters in September.
There are however many resorts with golf courses in the Alps, if you fancy a beautiful round of golf during your next summer mountain holiday. For the true enthusiasts, our portfolio even includes a chalet with a golf course! For a luxury summer golf break with a difference, try the Alps for your next golfing vacation.
The most beautiful golf course in the Alps:
We think the Golf Club de Chamonix is just stunning. An 18-hole championship course, this golf club in the Alps benefits from incredible views of Mont Blanc, Les Drus, and the Aiguille Rouge as it snakes along the valley floor.
Top mountain golf course:
Les Esserts golf club in Verbier differs to many other alpine golf courses, in that it winds up the mountain, rather than traversing the valley. Perched at an altitude of 1,600m, players can enjoy views of the Mont Blanc Massif and Combin peaks throughout the round. As a bonus, just above the course is a brilliant restaurant, famous for traditional Savoyard dishes, including rostis, raclette and fondue.
